Danielle Edochie, daughter of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, has shared her stance on relationships involving internet fraudsters, popularly known as Yahoo boys, saying she cannot consider dating someone involved in fraudulent activities.
Danielle expressed her views in a video message shared on her social media page, where she criticized the idea of romanticizing relationships with individuals who make money through online scams.
According to her, some women may be attracted to internet fraudsters because of the financial benefits associated with their activities, but she said money alone would not influence her decision to be with someone involved in fraud.
She admitted that she appreciates financial comfort but insisted that she would not sacrifice her values or integrity for wealth obtained through illegal means.
“I will never romanticise the idea of being a partner of someone who defrauds people whether physically or online,” Danielle said.
She added that she often finds it surprising when people ask whether she would consider dating internet fraudsters, questioning why she would choose to build a relationship with someone whose wealth comes from taking advantage of others.
Danielle stated that while some ladies may be attracted to the lifestyle and financial display associated with Yahoo boys, she would not make such a choice.
“A lot of ladies may be attracted to the huge amount of money those guys make, but not me. I love money too, but please, just stay far away from me,” she said.
Her comments have generated conversations online, with many users sharing different opinions on relationships, wealth, and the source of financial success.
Danielle’s remarks come amid ongoing public debates in Nigeria about internet fraud, its impact on society, and the influence of flashy lifestyles often associated with proceeds from illegal activities.
